Novices can enjoy guided rafting trips on the Ocoee River through one of the many local rafting companies on Hwy 64.

There are close to 70 miles of trail to be enjoyed in 2 great locations in Polk County.
OWWC has made a great name for itself in mountain biking & hiking. Boasting over 35 miles of trail, the Ocoee has something for everyone. Easy scenic riding and hiking can be done on the 1.5 mile Rhododendron Trail, or the Epic minded can do can link all nine trails for 35 miles of advanced riding or long backpacking trips.
In Benton the the adventure continues at
Chilhowee Recreation Area. Chilhowee has over thirty miles of mtn biking and hiking trails and just 15 minutes from OWWC. Swimming, fishing, and camping can all be done within the recreation area. With all the great outdoor opportunities in the area, Polk County makes a tremendous outdoor vacation spot being only 25 minutes from the Aska Adventure Area in Fannin County, GA., and just 40 minutes from Gilmer County, GA.
